Word Countereditorial control room

How it works

Count a draft without breaking your writing flow.

Paste or type text, choose a language and writing mode, then use the live dashboard to check length, pacing, repetition and target progress before publishing.

The workflow

01

Paste or write

The editor accepts articles, essays, emails, LinkedIn drafts, meta descriptions and product copy. Statistics update locally as you type.

02

Choose the mode

Blog, SEO, LinkedIn, email, essay and meta modes set sensible targets and switch the recommendations to match the job.

03

Review the dashboard

Track words, characters, sentences, paragraphs, reading time, speaking time, repeated terms and editorial score from the same screen.

04

Copy the result

Use Copy stats to move a compact summary into your brief, content checklist, classroom note or editorial QA document.

What is counted?

Words are detected from visible text tokens. Character count includes spaces, while the no-space metric helps with platform limits. Sentences and paragraphs are estimated from punctuation and line breaks for fast editorial guidance.

Why local analysis matters

Your draft stays in the browser session. There is no account, upload, storage or tracking script in the default build, which makes the tool safer for unfinished client copy, school work and private notes.

Best use cases

SEO articles

Keep long-form drafts near a target while checking repeated terms before optimization.

Essays

Watch remaining words while drafting assignments with minimum or maximum length constraints.

Social copy

Estimate reading time and tighten a LinkedIn post before publication.
